Winches and Hoists

SLM has been designing and building specialized winches and hoists for over 135 years. Many historically significant projects have utilized Lidgerwood winches or hoists.

Most recently, we have been working on a Tow Haulage Winch System for the Corps of Engineers for moving barges through the locks, and winches and hoists for bringing in and stowing inceptor craft (small fast boats) for the Coast Guard. We have also performed a variety of rebuilds and refurbishments to Cableways (Hoover Dam, Philippines), Skip Hoists for the Steel Industry, and various other specialized winches.
