NEW EQUIPMENT WARRANTY
Superior-Lidgerwood-Mundy
Corp. (hereinafter " SLM ") warrants any product manufactured by
SLM to be of proper materials and good workmanship. To facilitate
the prompt action on all warranty claims a buyer's purchase order
is required at the time of the initial claim notification. No charges
will be billed against a warranty claim purchase order prior to
final determination of warranty applicability. In discharge of
this warranty the seller will furnish without charge, or will repair,
a similar part to replace any material of the seller's manufacturer
which within one year after shipment from SLM is proven to our
satisfaction to have been defective at the time it was shipped
provided that: (1) the said product was installed and used in accordance
with SLM 's Operation and Maintenance Manual procedures and any
other specifications or directions of SLM , (2) said product was
stored and maintained in good factory condition until commencement
of service and at all times thereafter was properly used, maintained
and serviced, (3) written notice of the claimed defect is given
to SLM immediately upon discovery thereof, (4) the buyer has not
attempted to repair, alter, or dismantle SLM 's equipment without
SLM 's prior authorization, (5) the defective part is returned,
shipping charges prepaid to a location designated by SLM , (6)
inspection of the original part establishes the existence of the
claimed defect to the satisfaction of SLM . Failure to comply any
of the above conditions with the above will result in the forfeiture
of buyer's right to warranty claims.
Any
replacement part supplied by SLM is warranted for 120 days
from the date of shipment from SLM or for the remaining equipment
warranty period, whichever is longer. SLM shall not be held
liable for claims for consequential or special damages or expenses
incurred for customer repairs, for delays, or otherwise unless
specifically agreed to in writing. This warranty is given in
lieu of all other warranties, express or implied , of merchantability
or of fitness for a particular purpose and constitutes the
only warranty made by SLM . Component parts, materials and
equipment not manufactured by SLM are warranted only to the
extent that they are warranted by the supplier to SLM . SLM
makes no warranty whatsoever, either express or implied, of
merchantability or fitness for purpose, or otherwise, as to
any defect in design on any products or parts thereof.
CAPSTAN & ANCILLARY
EQUIPMENT STORAGE PROCEDURES
- During any storage period the equipment must be
protected from moisture, dust, dirt, and other corrosive environments.
- The capstans shall be rotated, for a minimum of
ten minutes, each month and a dated signed (by a designated qualified
person) log of such action, be maintained for the warranty period.
- Also monthly, the lubricating oil shall be inspected
for correct level, contamination and moisture, if either is found
the unit shall be drained and refilled, prior running.
- The lubricating oil shall be drained and refilled
before the unit is put into operation.
