Heavy duty marine capstans and customized capstans

In addition to SLM's commercial M-2000 line of capstans, we manufacture an ultra-heavy duty capstan for those applications that need the extra heft our NSC-style capstan can provide. With high strength cast iron housings and head, and a worm drive gear reducer this capstan is extremely durable. This capstan design has been in service since the 1960's, and there are original units still operating today. Few companies can boast of equipment lifecycles that are measured in decades not years.


The NSC Capstan comes in three sizes and can be supplied with a variety of optional controls.
